Pastoral Ministry

Pastoral Ministry I, II, and III course series is designed to train Pastors in spiritual and biblical Church leadership.

Pastoral Ministry I:

Being able to hear God so we do “only what the Father does” is an essential skill in the life of every pastoral minister. This course will dive deep into God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We'll investigate the details of the life of Jesus as well as the details of your life. We will also engage in activation prayers and explore where you bubble.  Materials include a digital copy of the book "Hearing God's Voice: It's All In The Details." You will also have access to various printouts to assist you in your walk with God. 

This course is a prerequisite to future pastoral ministry training.




Pastoral Ministry II:

Students will receive understanding of and training in aspects of pastoral ministry including providing spiritual covering, discerning roots of individual and communal issues, the necessity and importance of forgiveness and repentance, seeing Father God as He really is, and dealing with common errors in ministry. Materials include video teaching and course manual.

Assignments will be required throughout and a final exam for successful completion. This course is required for future pastoral ministry training.




Pastoral Ministry III:

This course will give further instruction in the areas of dealing with the development of believers, grief, fears, false refuges, soul ties, and the meaning of corporateness in the Body of Christ. Materials include video teaching and course manual. Besides regular assignments throughout, there will be a practicum requirement and report to achieve satisfactory completion.




 Apostolic Ministry:

This course will cover an overview of apostolic ministry, and an in depth look at each of the five-fold ministry gifts as defined in Ephesians 4:11. Video teaching and manual provided. There will be a practicum and report required for successful completion.

Discipleship Ministry Series

With an heavy focus on holistic healing, the Discipleship Ministry Series will equip leaders to equip congregations to freely serve the Lord. This series was developed by Dr. Pam and brought to MBI in partnership with Rosewood Apostolic Center.

Discipleship Ministry I (EAL -Basic)

The goal of this course is to introduce the student to God’s plan of sanctification and transformation in the formation of Kingdom citizens as it comes to us in the Bible. This course will give you the basic tools to become an instrument of God in raising disciples for kingdom service. Materials include video teaching, textbook, course manual and Freedom in Christ pamphlet. Independent assignments throughout and final test are required for satisfactory completion. This course is a prerequisite to all other ministry-based courses. (3 credits)




Discipleship Ministry II (EAL-Intermediate)

This course will expand the concepts taught in the first course and give the student insight into the more serious problems that exist in the lives of the Kingdom citizens under their spiritual care. Topics include: Blocks to Maturity, Common Spiritual Wounds, and Spiritual Roots of Physical Illness. Students will also be exposed to a more advanced tool for bringing freedom and maturity to the Body of Christ in their arena. Materials include video teaching and course manual. Independent assignments throughout and final test are required for satisfactory completion. This course is required to proceed to other levels of discipleship ministry instruction. (3 credits)




Discipleship Ministry – Advanced I (EAL-Advanced I)

Students will be introduced to advanced concepts in raising Kingdom citizens including Basic Trust, Inner Vows, Spiritual Rebellion, Strongholds, and Deliverance. Materials include video teaching and course manual. Assignments are required throughout and a final test for successful completion. This course is a prerequisite for the Advanced II course. (3 credits)




Discipleship Ministry – Advanced II (EAL-Advanced II)

This course will cover special topics in the area of discipling others for Kingdom ministry including healing from abuse, shame and trauma. Besides regular assignments throughout, there will be a practicum requirement and report to achieve satisfactory completion. (3 credits)

Biblical Study Series

Students will receive instruction regarding the Bible as a whole, including how to study and interpret the Scriptures. Materials include video teaching and some study sheets. A Bible is required for participation. Reading assignments will be required throughout and a final exam for successful completion. This course is required for future biblical training. (3 credits)

Old Testament - Part I

Students will receive instruction on the Pentateuch and the books of Joshua and Ruth. Materials include video teaching and some study sheets. A Bible is required for participation. Reading assignments will be required throughout and a final exam for successful completion. 

This course is required for the next level of Old Testament biblical training.




Old Testament - Part II

Students will receive instruction on the Historical and Wisdom Books of the Bible. Materials include video teaching and some study sheets. A Bible is required for participation. Reading assignments will be required throughout and a final exam for successful completion. 

This course is required for the next level of Old Testament biblical training.




Old Testament - Part III

Students will receive instruction on the Prophetic Books of the Bible. Materials include video teaching and some study sheets. A Bible is required for participation. Reading assignments will be required throughout and a final exam for successful completion. 

This course is required for the advanced level of biblical training.




New Testament - Part I

Students will receive instruction on the Gospels and Acts of the Apostles while covering the Doctrines of Salvation and Sanctification. Materials include video teaching and some study sheets. A Bible is required for participation. Reading assignments will be required throughout and a final exam for successful completion. This course is required for the next level of New Testament biblical training. (3 credits)




New Testament - Part II

Students will receive instruction on the Epistles and Revelation while giving insight into the Transformation Message. Materials include video teaching and some study sheets. A Bible is required for participation. Reading assignments will be required throughout and a final exam for successful completion. This course is required for the advanced level of biblical training. (3 credits)




Advanced Biblical Training I

Students will receive instruction on the doctrine of Scripture and Ecclesiology. Materials include video teaching and some study sheets. A Bible is required for participation. Reading assignments will be required throughout and a final paper for successful completion. (3 credits)




Advanced Biblical Training II

Students will receive instruction on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit and Eschatology. Materials include video teaching and some study sheets. A Bible is required for participation. Reading assignments will be required throughout and a final paper for successful completion. (3 credits)

Special Topics

During each year of the program, there will be a Special Topics course. This will be designed to cover issues of special interest to students that will enhance their service as pastors. Topics will include: Performing Pastoral Duties, Principles of Administration and Finance, Principles of Leadership, Principles of Evangelism. Institute Administrators will be open to covering topics requested by students in this course. Online teaching and ministry when appropriate and necessary materials will be provided. Final summary paper will be required at the end of each year of training for successful completion.
